EXPECTATIONS FOR MOZAMBIQUE'S BENEFICIAL OWNERSHIP LAW
The Center for Democracy and Development (CDD) in partnership with OXFAM, Center for Research on Multinational Corporations (SOMO) and Tax Justice Network Africa (TJNA), with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Finland and in articulation with the Ministry of Justice, Constitutional and Religious Affairs, welcomes you to the debate on Expectations for Mozambique’s Beneficial Ownership law.
This debate comes in a context in which the Mozambican Government informed, in the most recent report on Transparency, Governance and Corruption, prepared with the assistance of the IMF, that the Ministry of Justice, Constitutional and Religious Affairs is crafting a draft law to promote the transparency of beneficial ownership in the country, in recognition of its contribution in the fight against corruption, money laundering, tax abuse, as well as in the improvement of actions to fight the financing of terrorism and support recovery of assets.
The event is hybrid (in person and virtual). The participants include Ministry of Justice, Constitutional and Religious Affairs, Experts and Civil Society.
